HYPERMED -
Cerebral
Palsy - Dystonia (reduced tone)

'Dear
Dr Hooper,
Since
we left Melbourne almost 7-weeks ago, Madeline continues to make fantastic
progress. Last week she walked (shakily) for 2-metres unaided and in a
straight line. Now she is doing that several times a day and loving it!
Obviously she is getting a lot of attention for her efforts.
I
continue to notice substantial improvements in her balance during the past
3-weeks. I am so thrilled to share this with you.
After
Madeline's initial 4-weeks of HBOT last August we noticed:
-
improvement
in her balance
-
greater
alertness (NOTICED BY EVERYONE WHO KNOWS HER)
-
greater
understanding of words, instructions and general responses
-
DRAMATIC
improvement in her chewing food. This was by far the most difficult and
distressing on going battel with Madeline. Madeline would often choke and
gag on her food and since her initial HBOT their has been no major
incident of choking. This is a huge deal and has obviously eliminated a
lot of stress at meal times. I believe that this improvement is as a
direct result of her HBOT because she has improved so quickly and
immediately after receiving treatment.
Since
her 2-weeks of HBOT during February 2004:
-
Madeline
continues to improve in her balance; taking steps unaided; lifting her leg
up onto a chair and trying to climb the chair by herself; letting go of
furniture and standing several seconds on her own
-
imitating
and vocalising a lot more sounds
-
waving
goodbye to other without being prompted
-
looking
at books with interest and maintaining her concentration and focus
-
more
alert and generally more responsive
Madeline
continues to make good steady progress. These are all improvements that she
has not experienced before commencing HBOT. Even although Madeline has been
improving and acquiring new skills all the time; since commencing HBOT her
progress has sped up and their is absolutely no doubt in our minds that this
is as a result of her HBOT.
I
would like to thankyou Malcolm, for all that you do, and for truly caring for
everyone that you treat.
God
Bless you.
Sylvia
Tomic (Mother of Madeline)
